Linda and Ross Wedding - Tarry-A-While Resort, Bridgton, ME
Linda & Ross's wedding was a wonderful gathering of family & friends at the magical Tarry A While Resort in Bridgton, Maine. It's vast background of Highland Lake and Shawnee peak was a fantastic location for a wedding. Providing video coverage of the ceremony and reception, gave plenty of time to get drone footage of the large facility.
Starting right at the ceremony can be a challenge at times, spending time with the couple for bridal prep and groom prep is a nice way to get a feel of their personalities and the best way to capture the couple naturally, so not having that time slot can create a creative challenge. The ceremony took place right at the edge of the lake, with pine trees surrounding the guests, it provided a rustic and quaint feel to it, following some brief formals, the reception took place on a raised patio & tent area, providing vast views of the water and mountains. One type of lighting I find to be timeless and perfect for night shots are string lights placed over the dance floor, it provides very mellow lighting to peoples faces and provides a dynamic background as events happen. It creates a magical whimsical feeling especially as the couple dances the night away getting smooth cinematic shots with orbs of light blurred in the background. Linda & Ross’s wedding was a well-balanced mixture of elegant and rustic, mixing the feel of Maine, with the elegance many weddings look for.
