Katie and Josh Wedding - Old South Church | Copley Square - Boston, MA

Katie & Josh's wedding was one of the funnest weddings captured this past winter. A wedding in winter can be cold, bitter, and dull. But Boston as a location for formals provides a beautiful and dynamic backdrop for breathtaking shots. Old South Church's meticulous detail throughout is a piece of art, and a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony. Wedding receptions at a restaurant can be a challenge as many restaurants are not set up well for a wedding, the couples casual personalities and the private party section of Post 390 was a perfect combo allowing guests to enjoy a casual dinner and still having the typical reception moments like numerous speeches with the city streets in the background. I have always enjoyed using the environment around, capitalizing on natural lighting; city streets, especially around Christmas can turn an mundane city street into a beautiful evening photo session with the bride and groom.
