Katie and Cliff Wedding - Grace Episcopal Church - Providence, RI
Katie and Cliff wedding took place in the middle of providence, RI - Narrow streets, car horns, and beautiful modern architecture surrounding them. Bride and groom wedding parties got ready across the street from the church at Hotel Providence. Bridal and groom preps were ideal providing numerous hours to capture the glamour shots and small details of the wedding. They had their first look infront of Grace Episcopal Church, the early 1800s stonework and large wooden doors were a stunning backdrop to an adorable first look. After this the wedding party took a trolley around Providence to have formals and multiple locations including the Rhode Island state house, and Waterplace Park, both provided unique backdrops creating a stunning video. The rest of the day was spent at the location of Grace Episcopal Church. The interior of the church was just as breathtaking as the exterior was for the first look, detailed trim work, the original Tiffany stained glass throughout the church. The ceremony was a balanced mixture of religious and personal traditions spread throughout it, the only issue during the ceremony was the church's sound system didn’t allow for audio outs to my recording system, this is why I advocate so heavily for redundant audio on all key wedding party members (bride, groom, officiant) I had discreet lavalier mics attached to all 3 ahead of time, which provided clean crisp sound audio of the ceremony. When I typically hear the reception will be at the church, I think of dimly lit basements with plain backdrops, this was not the case at all for Grace Episcopal Church, similar to every other aspect of the church, their facility was breathtaking, a gated outdoor courtyard for the cocktail hour, and a large vaulted ceiling room, with exposed beams, large fireplace, and the entire wall from floor to ceiling between the interior reception and exterior cocktail hour was a glass wall, providing dreamy city lighting in the backdrop of their reception.
